Sausages

We had planned a new walk today but we awoke to torrential rain and strong winds so we cancelled that plan and stuck around the house instead. We both had paperwork to take care of, Susan had to do some banking and I needed to look over some Wedding Photography stuff so we had a day in the house.

Once we had finished that stuff we headed out with the dogs to go to the fruit market and the butcher. Typically, the weather had cleared and it was quite a nice day. We stocked up with the fruit we needed and then bought some meat at the butcher. Such low prices, 2 decent sirloin steaks and it cost 6 euros.

We had a coffee in Santiagos - we're getting quite pally now, still helping with his English. Then we walked up to Kirsty & Richards to get some sausages. Aparently these are the best sausages in town, they are made with Spanish Meat and Scottish skins so they should be ok. We'll report back when we have eaten them. We're going to arrange a night out with Kirsty & Richard next week.

We went back for Lunch and a bit of a sit around then took the dogs out for the usual walk from Jimena, up the path to the big old cork tree and then back again.

The first animal we spotted was this cockrel (or is it a hen), it was making a hell of a noise anyway.
We stoped at the house where the 2 dogs live, Ben and Dan love these dogs so we always stop to say hello. The owner came out and I think he was seeing us off because he didnt say much, we wandered off quickly.
This is Susan and the dogs wandering along the path way, we spotted a Boxer dog in the garden, it didnt look too old but was quite thin and seemed to be unable move about easily. Maybe it was older than it looked but it was a very friendly dog.

We took this pic at the little wood on the way, Ben was somewhere else in water splashing around.

Susan and Dan on the path.

Ben came running when he heard the treat word.

Ben was looking very handsome from this angle.

When we got home we spotted the yorkie next door had another coat on, this one covers most of his back legs. No wonder he barks all the time, I'be pretty angry if I was dressed up in that gear.

We took the car to the garage to use the hoover to remove sand and various other bits and bobs. Unfortunately it was so weak I'd have been better sucking the muck up my nose with straw. We'll try another hoover someplace else.

I made Banoffie pie for pudding, it was really good. I also tidied up the tomato plants, we'd moved them to the front balcony as we thought they were getting too much sun on the terrace but below the run off from the roof was affecting them with too much water when it rained. They are now back on the terrace.
