9th AprilAnother day of torrential rain, poor Alli hasn't even seen round the village yet.
Still - the dogs need walked so we went off in the rain to Jimera to do the walk we had done the other day. The road had almost been washed away and there was evidence of the government having to move tons of sand and rubble from the road and dump it over the edge. We parked by the station and set off in the rain.

Alli and I had decided on shorts for the day, it wasn't really cold so they were better for drying. We walked the usual way by the river which was running so fast there was no way that we could let the dogs in. Dry streams and footpaths were raging torrents.

Dave took this pic of the 2 of us in the rain - still smiling. Someone has stolen one of our brollies so we only have 3 left, we must buy another but we'll wait until a dry day - might get it cheaper!

The track that was bone dry only 3 days ago was now almost knee deep in places. The girls were persuaded to head back to the car and Dave and I carried on to the usual tree. On the way we had to cross 2 fast flowing streams which were over knee height, the dogs loved it!

On our return we found the girls who had managed to find a coffee in Quercus, this is Alli doing a rendition of Singing in the Rain

We decided Monopoly was the order of the day, I went bust first which was disappointing but a welcome relief from a long and boring game. We played the Edinburgh version so at least it meant something to us all.

Susan was very like her real self, stashing money away and quietly buying up assets all the time, the excitement became too much for her. She won and Dave recons he was second but they stopped the game to head off to Ronda for dinner and to stop us all going stir crazy

Ronda was almost dry, we parked under the square as usual and walked over to the bridge and gorge. Alli was impressed but the rain started again so we went in search of food. We had decided on the Pizza place we had been to before but that was closed so we headed up to the top of the town to another restaurant that we had almost gone to once but that too was closed. We walked back towards the main square and found another Pizza Restaurant but that was closed also (Note : dont try to eat in Ronda on a Wednesday night). Eventually we found a small bodega just off the main square and it was great so we'll go back there again.

This is the team pic on the new bridge taken on the Jobby.
Back home for coffee and the Apprentice on telly.

On our walk round Ronda I spotted this car, makes ours look clean by comparison.

These legs were hanging in the Bodega and the smell was pretty bad but I'm sure they taste nice.
