Another day of rain, it was wet and windy all night but we slept well. Susan took the dogs up the Olive Grove as usual and we had breakfast. We had promised the Market was in town today so we set off in the rain but it wasn't there. We eventually found a much reduced market in the community centre by Dia. Not much to see so we wandered on to the veg and fruit market.

We bought some more fruit for breakfast then went round to Santiagos for coffee only to find that he was closed (again), as we left, Dave noticed this rock on the hill that he thought looked phallick so I had to photograph it.

We ended up in Los Amigos for coffee, it was busy as usual and eventually Susan caught up with us so we sat chatting for a while.

After we got back we set off for the coast, as we drove down it looked like the weather might be better on the coast which turned out to be true. We parked in the usual spot at Sabinillas and walked along to Duquesa throwing the ball as we went.

This was the part where the river coming off the mountains joins the sea, it is usually slow and clear, not today.

I was chucking the ball for the dogs when Dave took the pic, Photoshop has helped enhance it a little, it's amazing that can be done to make a picture look better, who says the camera never lies!

Dave carried the dog lead - apart from paying for Lunch that was his job for the day.

The girls didn't want to wade through the muddy river so they left us to walk along the walkway, Dave and I carried along to the harbour where it was a little sheltered and I threw the ball into the water to make the dogs swim for a bit.

We had lunch in the Portside in Duquesa, Dave reckons that the woman should have worn a mask as most highway robbers do, it was ok but very expensive. When you are used to inland prices it is easy to forget how expensive a meal on the coast can be. Dont think we'll be back there again - although she was very pleasant.

Susan took this of me on the way back to the car, by then the rain had come through a little but nothing like in the mountains.

We met these odd people on the beach, no idea what they were doing but it looked like good fun. We stopped for petrol, the guy in front of us left his car there and wandered about talking to people, eventually Susan went out and told him to hurry up, he glowered at us but then buggered off - the Spanish think nothing of that kind of behaviour.
We drove back to the village and the rain, spent the rest of the afternoon and evening reading books and drinking and we're about to go our for dinner. The weather is meant to change tomorrow - hopefully!
