A couple in a hire car came lurching across the bumps towards us and asked us where Ubrique was, this caused to realise that these tracks were public roads and used by all, we decided to get the car and go exploring. It is good we have a 4x4 as the tracks are rough. On the way back we were stopped by a ranger and told to put the dogs on a lead, of course we did so and as soon as he had gone we let them off.
We walked back to the car and drove back the way we had come, the track went on and on and eventually we found a sign to Jimena de la Frontera, we didn't have time to drive there but we will another day. This track is part of the European GR7 walk that runs from Greece to Gibraltar, we won't be doing the lot.

We drove a fair bit of the way and then turned and went back home for lunch. Tony and Lisa had wandered round the town and had coffee in a bar before returning home. We had a lazy lunch then drove into Ronda.
We stopped at the viewpoint to let Tony and Lisa have a look at the views, this is us at the viewpoint.
We went to the Bullring and had a look round, the horses were being schooled which was interesting.
I'm having an arty farty mood at the moment and this jaunty angled shot is of the Bullring
On the way out we spotted this Pigeon drinking from the water pipe that says not for drinking, it doesn't seem to be doing it any harm.

We had coffee near the Parador then walked over the new bridge to the old town. Tony and Lisa bought a name place for their new house in a shop on the street. We walked by the Cathedral and over to the viewpoint.
This was taken from the viewpoint near to the cathedral, the late evening sun accentuates the landscape!!

A self portrait on the timer by the viewpoint. We walked back down the town and over the bridge again to the shops. We took cash from the bank then walked up the main street to the Vet. We had been meaning to find the vet and check it out. The vet was actually at reception, Susan thought he was a very good looking young man so we spent a while there! We bought a collar and drops for Leishmaniosis which the dogs need protection against - another 80 euros down! We also asked about this Pine Processionary Caterpillars, the guy was very helpful and gave us lots of information. We always thought this was deadly but aparently it's not quite as bad. We can buy a syringe of Cortisol from the pharmacy which we can carry round with us, if they sniff or lick these things we have to give them an injection right away then continue it for 6 days and this has a good chance of curing them. Still scary stuff but at least we can do something about it. We'll buy the drugs tomorrow.

We came home, Tony set up the Wii and we played bowling, Golf and Tennis. The dogs thought we were throwing a ball for them with the controller so they chased our hands round for a bit. I'm going to buy one. Tomorrow it's Marbella.
