Gibraltar Again

Alex and Christine fancied Gib, so we after giving the dogs a walk and having breakfast we headed off in 2 cars. Tony and Lisa were not leaving until later so they followed us down in their hire car. As usual we took the Stork road, it's not really called the Stork Road but it's a good name for it, reckon the government should change the name of it for us.

It was a really huge queue to the border so we didnt drive over. However we realised that the queue was due to a plane landing and once the runway was opened it was moving qute well. We walked through Passport Control and realised the runway was closed again as a Monarch plane was taking off, I have a small video clip of it at the bottom for the plane spotters amoungst you!

As usual we had coffee in Casemates Square then we took the cable car to the top. Most of the shops were closed anyway. The view from the top was a little hazy anyway but we could at least make out Africa thorugh the haze. The usual people feeding Apes with ham sandwiches.

Lisa took this pic of us at the top, the weather was pretty good just a little hazy but warm. I love the view from here, normally you can see for miles in every direction.
I just caught this picture of the Ape having a pee, it almost hit a woman which was very funny. People were screaming and running away.

The group photograph, Tony, Alex, Christine, Susan, Lisa and Angus.

Looking over the Med side of the rock down to the rocks below. This side of Gib is regarded as the poor mans area but I reckon the view is better from here, after all the other side looks to the Oil Refinery at Algeceras.

A baby Ape eating a monkay nut (or an Ape nut, I'm not sure) A woman was feeding these things to them.

This is the woman trying to say that she had none left, dont think it understood.
We had a nice lunch in the main street, the same place we had been before. My Pizza was cold in the middle so when I complained it was taken away and came back so hot I could hardly eat it. We split up and headed our seperate ways. Susan and I sat in the sun for a while then went to get some shopping. I had a hankering for an Ice Cream so we went to the Lord Nelson for a Knocker nocker Nelson. However it took ages to come and I had to cancel it as we were leaving, not an ideal day food wise for me.
We drove back the same way, I did all the driving so am totally knackered.
We are hoping the Chicken man will be open tonight but I suspect he wont be so it'll probably be cheese sandwiches.
An early night I think.
