The Beach - Again!

We felt that we'd neglected the dogs a little yesterday so we promised them a day at the beach, this was my 3rd day in a row driving to the coast but they love it so much. Also, from our point ov view they get the largest amount of exercise for the least amount of effort by us. So, off to the coast it was.

We stopped in Sabanillas, I was chased down the street by a woman shouting "are you English" , well actually Scottish I replied. It's about your dogs she said, my and my Husband love Collies but we can't find any in Spain, did you get them here? Sorry, they are Scottish and they are not for sale!

We ran them on the beach for a while then went for a coffee in the usual cafe. The excitement of the beach and almosty being sold was too much for Dan who promptly threw his dinner up on the floor. Have you ever tried picking up a pile of dog sick with paper napkins and a pooh bag - I have! It was appropriate that just before this the couple next to us had looked in disgust at the dogs and pulled their table away from us.

We made a hasty exit and walked along the beach to Duquesa, on the way we spotted this monster crab, I got Susan to put her foot next to it as a scale.
It was a day of wildlife, the beach was full of Jelly Fish, not very big ones and I took to collecting them in the launcher and throwing them back into the sea, Susan thinks I am on a one man mission to rid the beach of Jelly fish. Ever since a primary 7 trip to Broughty Ferry beach I have hated these things.

Ben looking a little sandy, he loves this look. After this we drove along to Carefour for lunch, the coffee shop here is very good. Susan needed a few things for dinner so we shopped a bit - also bought larger pots for the big tomatoe plants that need seeded up. After that we drove back to Estepona. We've driven through here a few times but never stopped, it looks quite nice so we stopped and took the dogs. I walked the beach and Susan walked the promenade.

This is the dogs on Estepona beach with Gibraltar in the background.

The front of Estepona, it looks a little tacky but it is actually quite nice.

We sat and had ice cream in the sun by the beach, the dogs sat under the table and drank water.

Susan took this picture of some hunky guy at the table.

I took this picture of some glamorous woman.

There was a handsome Border Collie under the table.

And another one

We had a walk round Estepona old town, it's actually quite nice and as it was Siesta time it was very quiet. This dog came to have a bark at us. I dont like the way it was standing on the roof, it could easily have fallen off.
We drove along to Liddle which was interesting, just like home. A man approached the car asking again about the dogs but it turned out it was just to get us in conversation. They had spotted the Saltire on the car and wanted to ask where we came from. We told him and it turned out he came from St Andrews and his wife from Montrose, they live in Casares and have done so for 8 years.
We drove back up the road for dinner and an early night.

You could have described picking up dog vomit in a bit more detail!
