Yet another lovely day in the Spanish Sunshine

We had another lovely day, it started with a visit to the bank to get the telephone bill paid, we dont want to get cut off again. The Bank Manager was very helpfull and got us set up to pay by direct debit. We headed back to the house to find that Mum and Margaret had started the potting up of seeds and general tidying up of the plants. We are looking forward to a good season of plants, tomatoes and spices for cooking. It was less windy last night but we must get the cowl on the chimney fixed, once you hear it, no matter how quiet it is, it seems to annoy me. However, Susan reckons she has found the source of the other banging, she reckons it is the door to the small cupboard below our bedroom, she is probably right so we'll jam it shut tonight and see how we get on.

I was really cold, despite the sun being out and the sky cloudless, somehow I just could not get warm. I sat on the terrace with a jacket on and eventually warmed up, everyone laughed at me. After Lunch we headed out to the road to Ubrique to find a nice open track with no pine trees on it. We did find some great tracks with no pine trees so we headed off, the sun was up and we were sheltered by the cork trees.

This is us on the track, it is part of GR7 walk, (see here for more info http://www.andalucia.com/rural/walking/gr7.htm)

The sun was bright and we had a lovely walk

We met this lovely little cat, Margaret was very taken with it, she stroked it for ages, then it wouldnt leave us alone, it followed us along the path for ages. Ben and Dan were very interested in the cat, Dan and it had a bit of a boxing match and eventually Dan decided that he's probably come off worst so backed off in defeat. I think Ben thought he was a very small Border Collie.

A group shot on the way home. We had to turn back a little early as Ben was limping quite a lot, we reckon he had a little stone stuck in his foot but he seems fine now.

This is the view south towards the Med, the sky was clear and blue. A lovely day.

We'd spotted these black pigs on the way out and decided to stop on the way back to take some photographs. They were really cute and there was hundreds of them including a few babies.

The dogs were very good and sat patiently in the car.

This is Cortes de la Frontera viewed from the Ubrique Road, I think is the best view of the village.

This is the late afternoon light hitting the mountains across the valley as viewed from the roof terrace.

Margarets Daughter Hillary appeared on Skype and Margaret had a chat with her and her children, Margaret was delighted and quite amazed at the technology that allows her to do it. She is still talking about it!

Still no joy with the Internet Phone, I might have to buy a new router!

Mum and Margaret are cooking Tea, a dish of Chicken and Lemon. Tomorrow we are going to Gibraltar to get cheap fags for my mother.
