Sorry I missed yesterdays post, it was a long and busy day, by the time I got back it was too late. We're getting a lot of visits to the pages, roughly 100 per day. What we're not getting is many comments, it's easy to do so please make comments - nice ones please, not about my haircut! Also, remember to click on the adverts to the left of the page, this helps keep the blog free.
Alex and Christine had been keen to look at Duquesa as they had considered buying a house there some time back. So, we took them and the dogs to Sabanillas, parked the car and walked the dogs along the beach. I threw the ball for ages with them and they really enjoyed it. The beach is getting busier, more people sunbathing and fishing. A Spanish man asked me about the launcher and where he could get one, I offered mine for 100 euros but he declined. We had a chat about dogs for a bit, he has 2 bull terriers, I told him they were illegal in the UK but he said the Queens sister had one so that was ok, obviously not aware she is now dead, I didn't want to concern him so I kept quiet.
We had coffee in Duquesa, a walk round the harbour then again I walked along the beach chucking the ball for the dogs - they were knackered.
We drove along to Carroufour, we had a few things on the list but as often happens with us the list was still in the house. Alex loves Carrofour so he was happy to come with us. We had lunch in the coffee shop, it's good food and very good value. We bought what we thought we needed and headed back up the road.
After leaving the dogs we drove to Ronda, we've moved our allegiance on the parking front to the one under the square as the one we normally go to has raised it's prices to a rip off level. Christines Mother died in Ronda 10 years ago and we have often told people that it was at the Church near to the Police Station but aparently that was wrong, we looked for the right Church but could not find it so we'll need to figure it out another day. (update we now know the right church)
We walked over the old town, past the gorge and up to the Police Station as we know a nice viewpoint there near an old sanitorium. There was a crowd of people heading into the building next door so we tagged along only to find that it was a Church, not only that there was a service in operation. There was a bit of holy water being thrown around and a lot of Karate Chop type movements but we settled into a row at the back. Needless to say I lasted all of 3 minutes then baled out leaving the others to soak up the service. I wandered outside and got chatting to a couple from Fife. Far more entertaining !
Alex and Christine treated us to a nice dinner near the Gorge then after another stroll we headed back quite late.

Today we drove to Malaga Airport, the weather was good, nice and warm and until just before the airport the drive was good. We got help up for a but but it was not an issue. We had a coffee and left them at the check in and headed home. Susan drove back, her first drive out of Malaga - she did well!
We had a very lazy afternoon, slept in the sun then cooked dinner.
Now we begin the mamoth task of changing beds, washing sheets, ironing and cleaning. Our next guests are not until next Tuesday so we have a whole week alone!
