Susan had booked an appointment at the hairdresser today so we set of early for Sotogrande, stupidly I took the Jimena road and got stuck behind a lorry but we made it just on time. I dropped her off and headed for the beach with the dogs. I'd just let them out the back of the car and they had ran to the water when the Guardia Civil drove in behind me, the 2nd time I have had a discussion with them about the dogs. They explained that dogs must be on a lead at all times, thankfully I had the lead this time and was able to put them on. They must be clamping down on dogs on beaches as the summer season rolls on, I guess our walks between Sabanillas and Duquesa are over for now.
I set off along the beach with the dogs on the leads, they wondered what was going on. As soon as I was a little way along I unleashed them, in all the panic I had forgotten the launcher and ball so no ball to chase.
There were a few people sunbathing and I spotted what I thought was a dummy or manequin lying on the beach, see photo below. If you click you'll get a larger pic and the 2nd pic shows the enlarged area.

I walked for 30 mins out then turned and walked 30 mins back then drove to collect Susan who was happy with the job the Hairdresser had done so that was good news all round. We had aranged to meet David in Duquesa for Lunch so we headed down there and met him in a cafe. It was good to catch up with him, this might be our last meeting in Spain as he is not sure when he will be back out again.
Next on the list was carrefour, we needed a few bist and pieces and we can leave the dogs in the car there as they have an underground car park. We got what we needed and retrieved the dogs and car. It was really too hot to leave them, even in the car park so we've decided not to take them with us unless it is specifically to take them for a walk or something or unless the temperature drops a lot.
After that we headed home and I did a bit of work, uploaded some new shots to my web site and replied to the various emails I had received. We watched a movie "notes on a scandal" with Cate Blanchett and Judy Dench, it was quite a good movie, very short at only 87 mins so it filled in a gap nicely.
Susan spotted these men loading 3 sheep into a van, guess they have just bought them, one went in the back and 2 went in the side passenger doors, they are probably set for girlfriends this weekend now!

Mum sent his picture of the orange tree we bought her a few years ago, it must know that we are in Spain as it has loads of flowers on it. I guess Irene took the picture!
