The dogs had not had a run on the beach for ages so we promised them a good run today. We drove down to Sotogrande where we know of a long and often deserted beach. We parked up and set off, after a while Susan spotted a white blob on the horizon, she thought it was something dead but I was convinced it was a buoy. However as we approached it I realised it was a dead dog, a large terrier type thing. Very sad but that's life (or death!). The beach cleaners were going around but seemed uninterested.
We walked past with Susan covering her eyes and me escorting her by the arm. After a while we spotted something else, not sure but it was definately dead, it might have been a dolphin or a porpoise so the challenge for Jutwallah is to name that dead animal. It's about 3-4 feet long - see photo.
After that we drove on to Carrefour in La Linea, I was looking to buy a mobile broadband modem and there is a vodafone shop there. The bill from Telefonica is getting huge so we need an alternative and this seems the best option. I found a very helpful assistant that spoke English and we almost did the deal until she said I needed the passport! We'll need to go back.
Bought a few things and had some Lunch, not very good there, then drove home to Ironing and cleaning etc.

I am not very good on corpses. Could you go back and photograph it at different angles! My bet is a young dolphin, Delphinus delphis. Received notification of your blog update.
